-ImagesThe was actually half of a weekend trip, the first part of which was maintainence work at the hot springs in Long Valley. We left left early Sunday morning to drive back through Yosemite to meet the rest of the party at the Happy Isles trailhead. Map(s) of perambulations below.
This is the basic Half Dome dayhike. Up the Mist Trail rather than the JMT. Return by the same route.
About 18 miles, with just under 5000 feet of ascent. Our party separated by speed, with the Chaots tending faster.
Mostly sunny and warm, although very wet on portions of the Mist Trail
